Terry Morrill, along with his sons Trent and Chad, are the owners of Pacific Outdoor Living, the parent company of Pacific PavingstoneCalifornia WaterscapesJack’s Turf and Southern California Swimming Pools, located in Sun Valley, California.

Terry has a degree in architecture from the University of California at San Luis Obispo and has been a general contractor for over 25 years.

Pacific Pavingstone has been installing paving stones for patio, decks, driveways, and walkways in the Los Angeles area for over nine years. All of our crews go through rigorous training and certification to ensure the quality of their work meets our high standards.

The Journey to the Inc. 500 Corporate Profile

Terry started with with his son Trent in June 1999. They built the company on three basic principles:

  1. Deliver a product,
  2. Never spend more than they make, and
  3. Reinvest profits back into the company.

With one crew, a beat up 1973 Chevy, and an assortment of tools, they started installing paving stone driveways and patios out of Terry’s garage.

Their great products and exceptional customer service gave way to many referrals and soon they had more work than they could handle. To accommodate their demand, they moved into larger facilities, added more crews, and updated their equipment.

In June, 2001, Terry’s second son, Chad, joined them and started California Waterscapes.

Using the same principles, he built that division into one of the largest pond and waterfall installers in the country. In fact, at the 2004 Inc 500 Awards, they were approached by Greg Wittstock, owner and founder of Aquascape Designs and fellow Inc 500 winner, to discuss how the two organizations could collaborate on future opportunities.

Out of those discussions the Morrill’s purchased Pro Ponds West, an Aquascape Designs Product Distributor, in October 2005. The company has since been renamed Pacific Outdoor Living Pro Division.

The company hit the ground running by closing a product distribution deal with Armstrong Garden Centers, one of the largest nursery chains in California. In addition to selling Aquascape products, the garden centers will also help feed business to their Pacific Pavingstone and California Waterscapes companies.

The Morrills also own and run the Pacific Outdoor Living Design Center,a design showroom where customers can see ponds, waterfalls, paving stones and get landscape design services.

In 2008 the Morrill family started Jack’s Turf, a company selling and installing artificial grass for residential and commercial properties in Southern California.
